Frequently Asked Questions
How do I choose the right piano?
The best approach is to visit our showroom and try several instruments. We'll ask about your experience level, where the piano will live, and your budget to help guide you. There's no substitute for sitting down and playing to find the piano that feels and sounds right to you.
Should I buy an upright or a grand piano?
It depends on your space, budget, and playing goals. Uprights are excellent instruments and fit most homes beautifully. Grands offer a different playing experience and superior sound projection, but need more room. We stock both and can help you decide which suits your situation.
Is a new piano better than a secondhand one?
Not necessarily. A well-maintained pre-owned piano can be an excellent choice, especially from quality makers. Our pre-owned instruments are all inspected and prepared by our technician. The main advantage of new is the warranty and knowing the full history.
Is delivery included?
We offer free delivery within 30 miles of Harrogate. For addresses further afield, we can arrange delivery at a reasonable additional cost. Piano delivery requires specialist equipment and handling, which we organise through trusted partners.
Do I need an appointment to visit?
Appointments are recommended so we can give you our full attention, but walk-ins are always welcome during opening hours. If you'd like to try specific instruments or have particular requirements, booking ahead lets us prepare.
